Rechargeable radio batteries, use it and reuse it.
Rechargeable radio batteries have caused some mixed-feelings when they first appeared. Having more harmful chemicals than normal batteries, people caring about the environment thought they would be better off using the older non rechargeable radio batteries. But thankfully, people quickly realized the advantages of this new technology.
Rechargeable radio batteries are indeed more harmful to the environment, but unlike their one-time only counterparts they can be used and reused hundreds of times! Instead of throwing away hundreds of batteries, you will be able to use those rechargeable batteries for a long, long time.
It's plain common sense to use rechargeable radio batteries. Sure, it will cost you a few extra bucks in the beginning; but if you consider the savings from not having to buy all the batteries you'd need for a couple of years, you'll quickly realize that's the best option for you to make. Rechargeable batteries are the way to go. And when you do need to dispose of them, be sure to do it in a proper way you'll be able to find battery disposal containers around your area.
